The Flowers Arrangement

En Masse turned out to be one of the best decisions we made in the planning process. The flowers arrangement were exquisite!. From the Cake to the Church aisle and of course, at the reception area. The flower girl's basket covered with banana leaves, and roses petals. Yellow-Orange Roses, Chartreuse Gladiolus, Rothchild Lilies and touch of Cherry Hypericum as center pieces. White Calla Lilies for Mom (She love it!), and Autumn's color of Lilies and Roses to my gorgeous bridesmaids. I had special requested to arrange white Lilies and orchid flowers into my hand bouquet, to dedicated for my late Mother who love those flowers to death.

The Garter

According to Wikipedia: There is a European wedding tradition for a bride to wear a garter to her wedding. As part of this tradition, towards the end of the remove his new wife's garter, which he tosses to the unmarried reception, the groom will male guests. The symbolism to deflowering is unambiguous. Historically, this tradition relates to the belief that taking an article of the bride's clothing would

bring good luck.^[1] In the middle ages, the groom's men would rush at the new bride to take her garters off her as a prize.^[2] As this often resulted in the destruction of the bride's dress, the tradition arose for the bride to

surrender articles of her clothing, which were tossed to the guests, including the garter.^[1] Nowadays, the privilege of removing the bride's garter is reserved to the groom, while the bride will toss her bouquet.

Another superstition that has circulated is the male equivalent of the bride throwing her bouquet to the unmarried ladies. According to this superstition, the unmarried male wedding guest who successfully catches the garter will be the next man to be headed to the altar from the group of single men at that wedding. Traditionally, the man who caught the garter and the lady who caught the bouquet would share the next dance.^[1]

In our wedding, the lucky single guy was Matthew Kurk and the lucky unmarried woman was Sante's mother, Joanne!

Our Wedding Photographers (1)

We are so lucky, punya sahabat yang piawai motret, Nova, (Klik aja kalo mau lihat bidikan dahsyatnya) salah satu Matron of Honor yang khusus terbang dari Jakarta. Nova dan Venda tiba seminggu sebelum big day, dan rencananya pengambilan foto pre-wed sehari setelah mereka nyampe. Dia akan punya waktu untuk ngedit dan cetak.

Aku udah bayangin pemotretan Pre-Wed dengan latar belakang Autumn View pasti enchanting. Aku browsing lokasi-lokasi yang kira-kira berdekatan dengan rumah kita, masalahnya Sante masih kerja, dan dia hanya punya waktu setengah hari.

So, kita tetapkan ke Sugarloaf Mountain yang lumayan bagus lokasi-nya. Sesampainya disana, begitu kita keluar mobil, tiba-tiba diserbu oleh Stink bugs . (Kalau mau tau lengkapnya, silakan klik aja yg warna biru:-) Sejak tahun lalu daerah Maryland dilanda Stink bugs, Nggak gigit sih, tapi baunya gengges banget deh!. Serba salah kalo mau dibasmi dengan cara dipencet, bau yang nempel ditangan susah hilangnya. Sampe sekarang, belum ada obat pembasmi yang jitu.

Akhirnya kita masuk kembali ke mobil dan pindah ke area lain, Seneca Park yang Danau-nya gede nian. Tapiiii, daun-daunnya belum jadi benerr! So, Nova menjahili-lah daun-daun itu menjadi bener, haha
